What to see

There’s something for everyone

Vendors fill much of the hall — but the club packs the weekend with hands-on activities, displays, and deals.

Vendors

Vendors of minerals, fossils, gems, jewelry and beads set up their booths each year. Browse specimens from all around the world — and find that perfect gem to complement your favorite outfit.

Club Activities

While vendors make up a large portion of the show, the Tar Heel Gem & Mineral Club hosts a whole range of activities of its own throughout the weekend.

Exhibits

Displays and demonstrations are set up throughout the hall, ready to view and enjoy during your visit to the show.

Geode Cutting

Buy a sealed geode and a club member will cut it for you. The crystals inside take thousands of years to form — and you’ll be the very first person to see them.

Silent Auctions

Our silent auction booth runs all weekend. Some auctions are open to everyone, others are just for the kids — and there are lots of fantastic deals to be had.

Hospitality Booth

The Hospitality Booth sells grab bags and T-shirts. Club members will sort your grab-bag finds and help identify them — and share how to join the club.

With gratitude

Thank you

Our last show was a blast, and we want to send a big thank you to everyone who attended. And to all the club members who volunteered their time — without the generosity of our volunteers we couldn’t make this happen. So thank you, to each and every one of you.
